Mexican Banded Natural Rhyolite Stone Pink Brown Black Sterling Silver Necklace Pendant Artisan Abstract Contemporary Minimalist Jasper

I cut this cabochon stone from very rough state and fabricated the metal into a pendant in which I set it in. I gave this exceptional beauty a thicker cut bezel, with a smooth cut. It took a beautiful, super shiny polish. The stone is set on solid .925 sterling silver with fine silver smooth bezel. The metalwork was given a brushed satin finish. A jeweler’s grade product was used to help slow down the natural oxidation process of metal exposure to air. The overall design is what I would consider as contemporary modern. The black on the stone is accentuated with an oxidized black patina. It’s a nice balance between the pink shades and darker tones.
